Position Overview

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager and General Manager in overseeing the full front-of-house operation, ensuring service standards, team performance, and guest experience consistently reflect the Richoux brand. This role combines floor leadership, operational oversight, and team development, acting as a key link between senior management and the wider team. The Assistant Restaurant Manager helps ensure the restaurant operates smoothly, efficiently, and professionally at all times.


Guest Experience

  • Support the delivery of exceptional, polished, and personalised service.
  • Act as a confident and visible leader on the restaurant floor.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure consistency in service standards across all dayparts.
  • Support and deliver signature Richoux service moments and guest experiences.


Operations

  • Support the daily management of restaurant operations and service flow.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure all areas of the restaurant maintain excellent presentation standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, and reception teams.
  • Step into operational leadership in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.


People

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of FOH team members.
  • Lead team briefings and service preparation when required.
  • Provide coaching and ongoing development to supervisors and team members.
  • Promote a positive, motivated, and professional team culture.
  • Act as a role model in professionalism, presentation, and service standards.


Financial Management

  • Support labour control through effective rota planning and shift management.
  • Monitor service performance including covers, SPH, and upselling activity.
  • Ensure correct procedures are followed for billing, cash handling, and discounts.
  • Support cost control and operational efficiency initiatives.


Brand Guardianship

  • Uphold Richoux service etiquette, presentation, and brand standards.
  • Ensure team knowledge of menus, products, and allergens is consistently strong.
  • Support seasonal launches, events, and promotional initiatives.
  • Champion Richoux values and maintain brand consistency across all guest touchpoints.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a premium hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on and supportive approach.
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering refined guest experiences.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ambition to progress towards Restaurant Manager and senior leadership roles.
