Position Overview
The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager and Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring beverage quality, service standards, and team performance reflect the Richoux brand. This role combines hands-on bar leadership with operational support, team development, and a focus on delivering exceptional beverage experiences.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional beverage service with professionalism and consistency.
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations and enhance their experience.
- Ensure drinks are prepared and presented to Richoux standards.
- Support the creation of a welcoming and refined bar atmosphere.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and efficiently.
Operations
- Support the daily operation of the bar, ensuring readiness for each service period.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, stock checks, and compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of all bar areas.
- Ensure correct preparation of coffees, cocktails, wines, and other beverages.
- Support inventory management and minimise waste.
People
- Support training and development of bar team members.
- Lead by example in professionalism, pace, and quality standards.
- Assist with team briefings and service preparation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Support recruitment and onboarding when required.
Financial Management
- Support stock control, ordering, and inventory processes.
- Help manage beverage cost control and wastage reduction.
- Encourage upselling and product knowledge among the team.
- Support achieving beverage revenue and performance targets.
Brand Guardianship
- Uphold Richoux beverage presentation and service standards.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of beverage menus and ingredients.
- Ensure bar presentation reflects Richoux elegance and identity.
- Support seasonal beverage launches and promotional activity.
- Represent Richoux values in every guest interaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or Senior Bartender in a premium environment.
- Strong cocktail, coffee, and beverage knowledge.
- Passion for hospitality and guest engagement.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Desire to progress into Bar Manager and senior leadership roles.
